Release Notes

Canonical Version 1.0 — September 2, 2026

Initial public release of the First Edition / Canonical Version 1.0.

Canonical changes occur through formal version release or documented errata, not through continuous website revision.

Individual RFC responses are not guaranteed. RFC submissions may be reviewed in aggregate during periodic release cycles.

Canon Clarification

“Canon” means the formally versioned controlling text of OS Load Architecture.

It does not mean scripture, doctrine, sacred text, belief system, religious authority, literary prestige, or request for agreement.

Canonical claims should trace to a specific version of the text. Informal summaries, AI outputs, commentary, reader interpretations, derivative adaptations, and public explanations do not supersede the Canon.

§1.14 Explanatory Companion
A noncanonical technical companion to the formal model in §1.14 is available here: [§1.14 Formal Model — Explanatory Companion]. The Canon remains controlling.

Citation Stance

OS Load Architecture is written as constraint-first technical canon.

External sources may orient adjacent fields and support later comparison, but they do not function as authority for the framework’s definitions, boundaries, prohibitions, taxonomy, or permitted uses.

The framework stands or fails on structural coherence, internal consistency, bounded claims, disconfirmation conditions, and version-controlled correction.

Absence of conventional in-text citation in a given section should not be read as accidental omission.

Citation and bibliography material are handled through the Canon’s endnotes, bibliography, version record, and adjacent-domain references.
